On December 8, we invite you to Tasting Dinner at Sam’s Steak House. This is a series of gastronomic dinners in the format of Food pairing, where our guests have the opportunity to try the legendary varieties of single malt whisky and learn about them from professional speakers.
This time you will try whisky from the famous Scottish distillery Glenmorangie. A unique feature of this whisky distillery is the highest distillation cubes in Scotland: there are 12 copper machines, which are exact copies of the first distilling cubes. The height of the swan neck of each of them is 5.14 meters (approximate height of an adult giraffe).
The speaker of the dinner Ivan Bachurin is brand-ambassador of Moët Hennessy in the CIS countries and chairman of the Sommelier Association of Ukraine. Ivan is a professional with 20 years of experience, in 2009 he won the title of the best sommelier in Ukraine, and recently became the owner of a vineyard and makes his own wines using classic technology.
The limited release Glenmorangie A Tale of Winter will be the culmination of the evening.
Glenmorangie A Tale of Winter is a single malt whisky with a winter aroma and bright rich taste. This is a 13-year-old single-malt Scotch whisky A Tale of Winter, aged in bourbon barrels and aged in barrels that once contained fortified Sicilian Marsala wine, which is valued for its sweet and fruity taste.
Glenmorangie A Tale of Winter tastes full of fruit and honey, iris, cocoa and spices.
Dr Bill Lamsden, a whisky maker and authority in the field of distillation and aging, said: “We all know how nice it is to be comfortable in a winter sweater by the fireplace when it's snowing outside. Glenmorangie A Tale of Winter, filled with bright winter aromas, perfectly conveys these charming and cozy moments. The taste experience begins with light fruity and honey accords, which turn into notes of cocoa, red pepper flakes and pieces of iris from Brazil nuts. It ends with a feeling of long aftertaste with hints of cinnamon, ginger and cloves”.
Rare single malt whisky Glenmorangie 18 Y.O. for 15 years aged in barrels of American oak from under bourbon, after which most of it remains aged, and about 30% are sent for aging in barrels of sherry Oloroso. When both parts reach 18 years of age, they are combined to produce an incredibly rich single malt whisky. The drink has an elegant balanced taste with notes of honey, malt and flowers, as well as amazing aromas of dates, figs and faint hints of wood smoke.

For each release, chef Serhiy Dziubenko prepares special "winter" snacks, warm and soft goat cheese with honey, foie gras, tender creme brulee, as well as NWA branded steaks New York and Rib-Eye.
The dinner will be accompanied by exquisite waters from Italy – Acqua Panna and San Pellegrino, which are partners of the Single Malt season. Acqua Panna and San Pellegrino – inspire people to enjoy life, emphasizing the taste of every moment.
